PARK's NEW FESTIVAL
Edition II
The Park's New Festival was hosted
by Prakriti Foundation for the first time in 2007. A five day festival
held in the first week of December in Chennai, showcases new and emerging
work in the field of dance, music and theatre for Chennai audience. In
2007, we had curated work by leading performers like Dr. Mallika Sarabhai,
play by the Vayu Naidu company U.K, a solo performance by Preethi Athreya,
Dance performance by Dance Routes Bhubaneshwar showcasing the Raghurajpur
Lila Project by Dr. Rekha Tandon, Play - 'Jazz' reminiscing on the blue
and Jazz players/singers in the 50 & 60's of Bollywood by Ramu Ramanathan.
This year we have an entirely new package for the discerning Chennai audience.

About Ram is based on Balinese Ramayan
- the Uttararamacharita by Bhavabhuti. The play uses animation, puppet
and live actors with audio visual effect.
