Prakriti Foundation presented "Zen Buddhism, Daily Life and The Common Thread with Other Religious Philosophies"An interactive lecture and meditation session by Gil Alon - A Zen Buddhist teacher, actor, singer and a theater director from Israel

A lecture and discussion about the link between Zen and daily activities.

Gil Alon is an initiated disciple and dharma heir of Gudo Waffu Nishijima Roshi in Japan, Sodo Sect, the Dogen Sangha lineage. He is a Reiki master and has conducted workshops on Buddhism, creativity and meditation in India, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Israel.

Gil Alon is artistic director of 'Theatre in Slippers' festival in Tel-Aviv, artistic committee member of the Alternative Theatre Festival in Acre. He is also a board member of the Fringe Theatre, Tel Aviv and Israeli branch of ASSITEJ - the international organization for children's theatre, and member of the repertoire committee for children's and young people's plays of the Ministry of Education.

Editor and host of 'Side Wind', a program on philosophy and spirituality and 'Front Row,' a program on theatre on the Israeli national radio station. Directed the play "Interview" with the theatre group The Left Bank, with whom he received first prize in the Arena International Theater Festival in Germany. Participated in the Butoh production "The Flower of the Universe" directed and performed by the world famous Japanese Butoh masters Kazuo Ono and Yoshito Ono (Yokohama, Japan)
