 
February 2, 2002 at 7pm Prakriti Foundation presented Hindustani Music by Sandhya Kathavate, renderings of Thumris, Dadra, Chaiti, Jhoola etc. with brief explanations. Venue: Sundar Mahal, Padmavathy Road, Jeypore Colony, Chennai Sandhya
Kathavale of Mumbai grew up in a music loving family of Indore and received
her initial training from Dr. Shashikant Tambe. Later she learnt under
the tutelage of the well known Agra Gharana exponent Pt. Baburao Haldankar.
Sandhya has a masters degree in music from SNDT university and registered
at the Devi Ahilya University, Indore, for PhD in music.
