December 15, 2002 Prakriti Foundation presented "Visit to Vaikunta Perumal temple at Kanchipuram", with Dr. Dennis Hudson
Dennis Hudson teaches history of India and South Asian religious literature in translation. His research interest focus on the Tamil speaking peoples of South Asia from their earliest appearance to the present, with special attention to 2 periods: the 8th and 9th century period of Alvar and Nayanmar developments in the context of temples and expansion into Southeast Asia and the 18th and 19th century period of interaction between Christians, Hindus and Muslims, notable between the Protestants and others. He is now completing a detailed study of the Vaikunta Perumal temple in Kanchipuram and is applying the Bhagavata code to other Vaishnava temples in India and Southeast Asia
